L'amphithéâtre des Trois Gaules, à Lyon (France) n'est actuellement plus qu'une ruine, mais au 1er siècle il faisait partie d'un ensemble grandiose de monuments où les délégués des soixante nations gauloises conquises par Jules César se rassemblaient tous les ans à partir du 1er août : Le Sanctuaire Fédéral des Trois Gaules, consacré au culte d'Auguste et de Rome. Il a par la suite été recherché par des archéologues pendant des siècles.

Only ruins remain of he Amphitheatre of the Three Gauls of Lugdunum (Lyon), but at the beginning of the 1st century a.d., it was part of a grand group of monuments : the federal sanctuary of the three Gauls, dedicated to the cult of Rome and Augustus celebrated by the 60 Gallic tribes when they gathered at Lugdunum.
